What is a client brief?

A client brief is a set of questions a client answers before work starts. It covers the goal, pages, features, budget, deadline, and content. It replaces the scattered messages that usually hold these details.

Do my clients need an account?

No. Clients open the link and fill in the brief. No sign-up is required.

Is BriefKitt free?

BriefKitt is free to use during early launch. We will tell users in advance before any paid plan starts.

Can I change a brief after publishing?

Yes. You can edit questions at any time. The link stays the same, so a client who already has it will see the latest version.

Who can see the answers?

Only the owner of the brief, when logged in to their own dashboard. Other people cannot see responses, even if they have the form link.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. The client form and the builder are designed to work on phones as well as laptops.

Can I use my own questions?

Yes. Start from the Website Project Brief template and add, remove, reorder, or change any question. You can use single choice, multiple choice, dropdown, short text, long text, and email questions.

Can I delete a brief?

Yes. Deleting a brief also deletes its responses. This cannot be undone, so export or copy anything you need first.

Where is my data stored?

In the current early version, responses are stored in the browser on the device where they were submitted. A server-based version is coming. The Privacy Policy explains how data is handled.
