Terms of Use
Last updated: October 23, 2026
These terms apply when you use BriefKitt, whether you are a freelancer creating briefs or a client filling one in. By using BriefKitt, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
BriefKitt lets users create questionnaires called briefs, share them by link, and view the submitted answers. The service is provided as is during early launch and may change as we improve it.
2. Accounts
To create briefs you log in with your email address and password, or with a login link sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping your password private and your email account secure, because login links are sent there. Give accurate information and tell us if you believe your account is being misused.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use BriefKitt for anything unlawful, or to collect information you have no right to collect;
- publish content that is abusive, hateful, sexual involving minors, fraudulent, or infringes others' rights;
- impersonate another person or company, or create brief pages that look like they belong to someone else;
- attempt to access other users' briefs or responses, probe or disrupt the service, or send automated spam;
- use the service to harass or target private individuals.
We may remove content or suspend access if we reasonably believe these rules are broken.
4. Your content
You own the briefs and questions you create. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you, such as storing and displaying your brief to the people you share it with. You are responsible for the questions you ask and for handling the answers you receive lawfully, including data protection rules that apply where you or your clients live.
5. Client responses
By submitting a brief, a client agrees that their answers may be shared with the freelancer who sent the brief. The freelancer, not BriefKitt, is responsible for how they use those answers in their own business.
6. Free service and changes
BriefKitt is free during early launch. We may introduce paid plans later. We will give clear notice before any charge begins, and existing free use will not become paid without your agreement.
7. Availability
We work to keep BriefKitt available and your data safe, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Please keep your own copies of anything important.
8. Disclaimers
BriefKitt is a tool for collecting information. It does not replace legal, financial, or professional advice, and we do not guarantee that any project or client will succeed. To the fullest extent the law allows, BriefKitt is provided without warranties of any kind.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BriefKitt and its founder are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or, if you have paid nothing, to one hundred US dollars. Some places do not allow certain limits, so some of this may not apply to you.
10. Termination
You may stop using BriefKitt at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end access for breaches of these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the BriefKitt operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where mandatory consumer protections apply in your country, they still apply to you.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for material changes, notify account holders. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
